个人简介

1991年本科毕业于中国科技大学无线电系,获无线电新技术专业及计算机软件及应用技术专业双学位,1996年于华南理工大学通信与电子系统专业获博士学位。2006入选教育部新世纪优秀人才,2011年入选广东省“珠江学者”特聘教授。目前为华南理工大学二级教授,博士生导师,曾兼任IEEE Signal Processing Guangdong Chapter主席(2014-2016),目前兼任中国图像图形学学会常务理事、中国图像图形学学会文档图像分析与识别专委会主任、中国计算机学会计算机视觉专委会委员、中国计算机学会人机交互专委会委员、中国人工智能学会模式识别专委会委员、广东省图像图形学会副理事长、广东省高校“音视频图文智能信息处理”工程研究中心主任、公安部视频图像智能分析与应用重点实验室学术委员会委员等职。主要研究领域为机器学习、模式识别、深度学习、文字识别、计算机视觉、图像处理、人工智能系统、智能交互等。在IEEE TPAMITNNLSIEEE TCYBIEEE TSMCIEEE TMMIEEE TIIIEEE TIFSIEEE TCSVTIEEE TITSInformation SciencePattern RecognitionPattern Recognition LetterNeurocomputing等国际期刊上发表学术论文50余篇,主流国际会议论文100余篇。获得发明专利授权45项。先后主持了国家科技支撑计划、国家自然科学基金、广东省自然科学基金、广东省重大科技计划等在内的科研项目40余项。作为主要成员荣获广东省科技进步一等奖(排名第1)、教育部自然科学二等奖(排名第4)及广东省自然科学奖一等奖(排名第5)、广东省科技进步二等奖(排名第3)各1次。
